RAX Planning
Even as a young girl I had a sneaking suspicion that we were all being conditioned. It just didn’t make sense that everybody would want the same cookie cutter life. I would scratch my head and was deeply confused why we all would want to live “like this” as I looked around the street where I grew up in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia.
In my day the story went; go to school, choose your career, get married, buy a house, have kids, get a dog, go to work and then retire. This was considered a good, successful life but it didn’t look fulfilling for someone like me who had zero desire to get married, have kids nor get a dog. I found a lot of satisfaction and peace in my own company which would make me question ‘where do I fit into this picture?’
I tried to fit in, boy did I try to fit in - I even got engaged, but alas never made it to the alter. I had what was considered a fairly successful career but never really felt deep satisfaction and it was always ‘burning me out’ so I would feel the need to quit in hope that the next one would be better.
With all this lack of commitment, wanting to spend time on my own, quitting things and then starting new things I started to think there was something wrong with me. So like everyone before me on this path; I read the books, took the courses, started seeing a therapist, did all the therapies, practised yoga and meditation, went on retreats, read more books and I pretty much had that on repeat until I discovered Human Design.
During my first reading when I was told I had a very selfish, self absorbed design and it was correct for me to make and break bonds and one of my biggest fears would be to ‘play’ a traditional role in this life my mouth must have dropped to the floor. I felt truly seen with zero judgement. They weren’t saying any of these traits were wrong, in fact she said this was correct for how I’m designed.
Obviously this information instantly hooked me into Human Design. My 1/3 profile started investigating and experimenting straight away. Learning my Human Design gave me a deep sense of peace knowing that there were parts of me that looked completely dysfunctional by society’s standards but it is totally how I am designed to be.
More importantly Human Design introduced me to the Not Self, shining a light to the places where conditioning was running the show and hijacking my life. Becoming aware of my Not Self thought patterns and behaviours has been the game changer - this was the beginning of my de-conditioning process! Once I begun to recognise when the Not Self was taking over, it started to lose its grip over me. It’s like - “I see you, and no, you are not in charge!”
Five years into experimenting with Human Design and my life looks completely different on so many levels. I have a deep awareness of how my energy works as well as how it impacts others, I’m confident in making decisions that are correct for me and I can recognise the signposts of when I am off track as well as on track. I am living a life that feels more authentic, satisfying and easeful.
De-conditioning takes time, it’s a process and it’s not easy - it takes seven years which is how long it takes for all your cells to renew themselves. This level of self inquiry and exploration isn’t for everyone but if you think this is a path you would like to walk, I am here to support you every step of the way.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
I spent a majority of my career in National Leadership roles working for some of Australia’s most iconic retail and wholesale brands, with my superpower always being creating and nurturing high performing teams.
Having an interest in the spiritual and wellness space I have done multiple yoga teacher trainings and subsequently founded Yoga Junction, an online space that sold yoga wear and accessories which has now closed.
Fast forward a few years and I bumped into the Human Design system to which I have invested many years and many hours studying with the International Human Design School to obtain certification to be a Human Design Guide.
When I’m not doing yoga or enjoying a chai at my favourite cafe you’ll more than likely find me surrounded by Human Design text books, with a highlighter in one hand and a cup of green tea in the other. I’m a very short book.
